R.I.P Mario Kart Battlemode

Its been a great experiance playing you for the last decade however I'm afriad our paths are now about to seperate.

Since when has battlemode only been team based? what a load of rubbish, I want to play for myself not have a bunch of red vs blue games. This isn't halo its mario kart. Nintendo have royaly fucked up. Smash bros brawl contained every manner of tailoring option you could think off, mario kart takes away the fundemental good points and replaces them with this dumbed down crap.

Fuck casual gaming. I want my mario kart back!

i havn't played battle but I thought the team thing was good when playing locally with other people & still wanting some CPU and general competition. I might have a bash online later and see how that fares up.

I havn't made my mind up on this yet, I've had some fun with it, so for now I like it. However to be honest it's just tiding my gaming needs over for now...

i like the 1player game, some of the new tracks are great and some of the retro ones are a welcome return. The battle mode does sound like a load of cack though, I havnt tried it but I think i will be tonight.

I dont think they have had the battle mode right since the very first one though, and even then we only ever played on one track. I think back in those days we just wernt as fussy.

good info there, I doubt if i'll have the patience to unlock everything like I used to though.

I've just done the 150cc courses but got a few silvers and a bronze but I find the racing so infuriating when I lose!

Just grabbed the wheel from Argos for £6.99 (it was for little 'un to play with of course!)

been playing this for the last few days online , last nite i updated the wiikey from 1.9g to 1.9s (just to keep it uptodate).
But before i updated when you connect to play online , select worldwide , wait for players then it shows your mii and the country you are from and your opponents are all question marks.
Then they all line up and it shows your mii name and country you are from and your opponents mii's and the countries they are from.
How come since i updated to 1.9s my country "united kingdom" has now dissappeared , the wii is set to united kingdom in settings so i'm baffled can anyone help?

I got an old chip so updated the iso file with the ppf file. My Wii is fully updated but it did ask me when i inserted the disk for a further update on the disk menu. Is this normal? Afraid it might brick my machine. The game is Pal

I ran the update on the disc on my up to date wii (with Argon) as I could not get the update-less game to work.

I still have a working Wii but obviously this is a differently chip up to you.

As long as you have a PAL Wii it is 100% safe to update with a PAL version of the game.
