intermittently will not load the disc

I have got the dc2pro9 in my wii, games work fine, but intermittantly it will not take the disc in the loader, I have to hold the power button down for 5 secs, then let it reset, then it will take the disc.

any ideas

I got this problem with and I have wiikey fitted. I just think it's a crap laser. Some original GC disks don't work at all. Copied mario kart (on a verb+R) works better than the original.

its called the Eject Issue mate

its well known and there is no known fix yet, well there are different things you can try when installing the mod i,e positioning of the mod and wires etc etc

apart from what your doing now (hard reset when it happens) there is nowt else you can do.

its happening to all chips (d2sun, wiikey2, d2pro) and its totally random.

the mod makers are still trying to figure this one out!

I thought this issue was when disks would try to eject from the drive, as you said in your reply, as in the 'inching problem'. As the OP states his problem is actually accepting disks, is this the same issue ?
To be honest if it isn't taking disks in, it may be that it isn't seeing the disk and not trying to take it in. I ain't that well up on the Wii so I may be talking crap .................. again

Does the drive sound as if it os trying to load a disk ? Can you feel it taking the disk in ?
