Gamecube - It will have the best games Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Resident Evil series, Metroid Prime, and Perfect Dark 0 should (with a bit of luck) be out in about 2 years.

Hang on---- this is in the Gamecube section of the forum, so how on earth will it be unbiased??? As in most people looking in here have got Gamecubes!?!?

cube: i have bout 400 ps2 games, only ever play winning 11 6
have about 100 box games, only liked halo on it
have 2 cube games, starwars and super monkey ball, and there mint

never off them

xbox is in the box under the stairs, ps2 gets used on weekends only for w 11 6 tournements

i have super monkey tourny's aswell hehe

in the gamecube section i'd expect the cube to win (it should anyway but ps2 and xbox owners are too biased

seriously, in sales terms ps2 will win (expect lifetime sales to be around the 100million mark) the cube SHOULD run second and COULD top the 75 million mark over its lifespan, the xbox..... well lets just say some people will buy it to play the nintendo emulators on it

I vote Gamecube, but that's my wishful thinking.

Realistically, I think the PS2 will be the most commercially successful of the three, but I'm sure that the GameCube is going to have the artistic success.

Unfortunately, artistic success aside, the (relatively) low unit sales of quality games probably won't be able to compete with the sheer numbers of crappy PS2 titles that get shifted every week.

i think ps2 has already one considering how many units its sold worldwide.
but now that there is a mod-chip out for the xbox i think that this will boost the sales of the console, but xbox doesnt have many great games unlike this GC.

OK here's my analogy - (bearing in mind I just got up and had a big coffee) Nintendo seems to employ a 'sniper-like' accuracy in the quality of most of it's games while $ony and Mr $ofty use a 'pissed up carpet-bomber in a B52' approach in what gets released for their consoles, I mean you are gonna get some fantastic games with the latter technique but you also achieve some real drivel.

I suspect Ninty are trying to achieve a different kind of success with the Gamecube, and when the prices drop (eventually) most people will end up owning all three (probably).

i agree abc in a way, but ps2 is just running off the succes of the psx, once people get bored with sitting around waiting for games there going to buy an xbox, after a few month there has been no games for it they will get a cube, eventualy the cube will have most sucess, its not aimed at kids like people think it is, its targeted on "fun", kids games r things like un-succesful monsters inc games and such...
ps2 has ffx (which not many people like anymore/psx game) mgs2 (psx game) gta3 (psx game) pro evo (psx game but who cares its gotten better with time) fifa (psx game which has gotten worse) / stuntman(which is to much like driver) medal of honor(shite compaired with pc so this wasnt needed to be released on ps2)
xbox has halo !
cube, well were shall i start, starwars/monkey ball-2/resi evil series (which has LOADS of new factors not a shitty rip off) pikmin/mario/super smash bro's/eternal darkness/bomber man/wrestle mania/ and many more......

owning all three consoles, i have my most fun with the xbox since evolutionX came out

outlaw golf is awhole lotta fun. As for saying that all ps2 games are just psone games with better grafix...............*cough* nes-snes-n64-GC *cough* is the same

i also think the xbox live will shift a lot of consoles. Sony have been dragging their heels with their online game service for far too long now. I dont know wot the GC's plans are for online gaming, but the press have tested out the xbox online service already and the clock is ticking.

commodore 64 whips all the consoles asses.....back then they concentrated on gameplay. now its all about licenses, high resolution textures etc etc. now how do i hook my c64 up to the net for online wizball.......hmmmm

gamecube is great BUT i can already see signs that the release schedule is being choked in this country.. why ?? no one knows..

For this reason I would put it like this

1. PS2
2.Xbox
3.Gamecube

BUT i think that PS3 will be the real winner haha

For me ps2 comes third.Loads of games,but hate Sony.Second will be Xbox for the homebrew factor,I love messing with it.

First has to be my little GC-Mario and Zelda make it worth the buy alone,nevermind top games like SMB,Luigi and Resi.

I dont want to cheat, the homebrew scene has exploded on the xbox, its quite a good job as there was fcuk all to do on the xbox beforre that, however despite the fact that many of us have xboxes the general public is avoiding it in droves.

If the question was which console is the most hacked and the easiest to port pc stuff onto then the answer would be xbox, if however it was which is selling best it would be ps2, however the ps2 wont last forever and while bill has downgraded his hoped for sales figures to 1994 to about 17million units of xbox 1 nintendo are still on track to push 50 million units in that time (ps2 will probably make 100mil) so i would guess that of the new gen consoles (gc & xbox) the winner will be gamecube, now if only someone could hack the damned cube it would wipe out the xbox altogether
