Freeloader delayed indefinitely?

There are rumours going around that the freeloader has been delayed indefinitely. Certain indie shops have been told this by their suppliers.

Apparently Datel have the disk working but cant actually work out how to put in on a GC disk, as Nintendo won't master the disk.

Some sources say that Datel are getting so desperate to break the copy protection they are looking at the mini-dvd discs through microscopes!

More news as it comes in.

i doubt that is the reason m8 - but it could be - Sony wont master the Action Replay or the DVD-Region X for the Playstation 2 and Datel ripped that protection to shreds - their is probably a very good reason for the delay - for the time and money Datel have invested in the Freeloader and Action Replay i would imagine that they will get it out eventually

PS2 CDs are a mode 2 cd with some funny sectors tho aren't they? Surely a lot easier to reproduce than a near 100% custom disc.

only the file system is custom m8 - the discs are near standard (similar to those used in digital cameras)

once the copy protection is busted and they know the layout, i'm sure making a master for a press would be the same in either case.
