Why would you use Tapatalk on an iPad?

I see this said a lot - when you're on a 3G connection, opening Tapatalk can have you connected to the forum a damn site quicker and with much less bandwidth than using the native Safari. If you've a crud 3G (or even a poor wifi hotspot) signal you can spend ages even opening pages while Tapatalk being basicly text only, does the job with ease.. Not everyone with an iPad is sat on their sofa.

Dunno of anyone else has this problem, but when I go to view my 'Participated Topics' I just get an error message and can't view them.

Keeps saying I need to wait 10 seconds between searches??

I sometimes can't view all unread threads - say there are 125 unread then swiping up works to load more up to say 85 but then it won't load anymore

Am I the only one having issues with youtube videos on this forum. They just come up as a shortened address in the address bar when I click on the link

youtube problems here as well, also when i try the forum tab on the bottom after the latest unread posts have loaded the app just crashes out (only happens on DF)

For some strange reason, Tapatalk renames the Youtube URL's or doesnt understand the links to the embeds on the forum

Yeah I don't think its just youtube links. A couple others have done it also

The forum tab error I was getting seems to have been cured.
YouTube links still won't open up though, neither in app nor safari

The only problem I have, and maybe it's just something I'm doing but I can't post threads to the forum. When I try I get the message 'please use a post icon' of something along those lines

yeah had this also but not tried since upgrade

Karoline - It's because the forum requires you to use a post icon when creating a new thread and Tapatalk doesn't have that facility built in yet. You can choose a prefix, but not a post icon.
Top and bottom is, until Tapatalk do build that into their software, you can create a new thread with it.

FYI - you can post without selecting icon in the dog and duck, pig and drum and news section I think without checking, extremely underwhelmed by the gratitude expressed by the people moaning that I fixed this for.
