lost homebrew channel now cant softmod

Hi,
A friend has just returned a Wii I softmodded a while back saying that new games wont load, I thought it would be a simple update, however the Homebrew channel has gone & trying to load the softmod again gives a 004 currupt error.

the system menu is 4.3e not sure if it was before, but I have a feeling there may have been a forced update from a game, Sports resort & Dr Who are 2 he said won't work. There are no wireless settings saved so it couldn't have been an online update.

Strangely enough the backup loader channel is still there?

is there a different method to softmod a 4.3E ? at the mionuite I can't get in to it at all

Yup you'll need this, the 'Indiana Pwns' save game and an SD card. Try to find someone who has got the game because it is going for £50-70 on eBay at the minute

Could he not just restore his nand backup, therefore placing him at the state it was before the original softmod (ie pre 4.3E) ?

As long as BootMii was installed as boot2 and not as IOS, boot to Priiloader and launch BootMii

Can't get it to boot anything by holding down the reset on power on (if that is right?) so I don't think it is installed.
Looks like only INDY can save it now

BootMii run if you have the correct files on the SD card, can't remember which ones but Google will tell you. But I have a feeling 4.3 removed BootMii, but don't quote me on that.
