Seems like a good deal, still not seen anything I'd want to buy for the system yet, well, nothing outstanding and I am beyond buying consoles for the sake of it these days, sadly.

The Jeff Minter Tempest remake is excellent but not worth buying the system for on it's own unless you're a proper fan. Motorstorm is good, I spent hours on that and LBP is well done but sadly my Vita has gathered dust for a while. I don't even know of any recent games.

My vita is used constantly as a remote play machine now, i've played through all of child of light just on remote play, there are some superb vita games though too and with PS+ there's never a shortage of stuff to try on it.

Sorry to go slightly off topic/hijack this thread but is there an alternative memory card out there for the vita?
Got one for Xmas but only came with a 4gig card, after i downloaded Metal gear solid 2&3 HD (bargain at £8) I've now got no room at all on my card. Not even enough to Install my cart games.

Slightly off topic but I wondered if anyone has been using it in conjunction with the PS4 and if so is it any good? early days I know.

I used it a few times remotely on my network only, my Ps4 is hooked up to a 55" TV so to go right down to the vita screen is a huge jump but it works in terms of streaming perfectly.

I played Assassin's Creed and the only thing that took getting used to was the back touch pad had to be used instead of the PS4 controller's L2 and R2 buttons.

Quality wise the graphics were glitch free.

It's a shame they never added an extra 2 buttons like the controlers i hate and fin the rear touch pad to awkward to use.

I adore my Vita, as an independent machine, not for remote play. I have final fantasy x hd getting a bashing at the minute, previous to that it was tearaway, everybody's golf, superfrog, uncharted etc...

    Fantastic and capable machine.

Remote play is impressive, but i found it impossible to play some games with it, Killzone Shadow Fall springs to mind, my hands just couldn't cope with the controls lol

I'll charge mine up and give it another shot. What's recent and worth a try ? I played everything legacy when I had a vita the first time around.

Actually, regarding the psn plus subscription and the free games, I'm guessing that if you unsubscribe, you lose access to your downloaded psn plus free games. Is that right ?

Yes you lose access to the PS Plus games when you cancel your subscription. If you sign up again in the future though you can access them again including the ones you previously downloaded.
