    Help GameCube Mod ch1p

    Evening All

I've just got a Gamecube so my lad can go back over the original Resident Evil games that he's never played. Plus I'm interested in getting an N64 emulator running on it. I'm going to build an SD card reader out of a GameCube memory card but I'm after a modchip and can't see to find one anywhere in the UK. Does anyone know of anywhere that still does them please?

At the risk of having the piss taken out of me, it's for my retro collection and mainly for my lad to play on. I might pickup another Wii at some point but I sold my old one a few years back.

The GameCube was part of a lot I purchased recently and I can borrow the Resident Evil titles from my mate who has a GameCube sat in his loft. But in the interest of playing around with it, it seems like a need a Modchip and then an SD card with various things on for loading homebrew. The SD card alone won't do the job apparently.

You will need a anti tamper screwdriver , it's not the type most people have .
best to order one the same time or you will be pissed off when you go to mod it .

can you still buy ritek dvd-r these days, my cube wouldn't touch anything else. Make sure you read up about burning multigame disks too, that will save you some media.

Chip has arrived! Thanks very much for sorting that out for me mate, much appreciated My lad is going to be chuffed when he has a whole new bunch of Resident Evil games to go at!

Will hopefully be able to get it installed tomorrow and then do some testing Saturday when my discs arrive.

    Thanks again

Heres a tip for you. Be very careful if you want to boot any Japanese games as they seem to use a different save format and erase your memory card without telling you. I used to have a memory card just for Japanese games.

I cant really think of any Japanese games you'd want to play these days that you can't find a USA or UK release of though, so you should be OK.

Get the Bongos if you don't have them already and play DK Jungle Beat, I fucking adore that game.
