Black ops zombies

Me and a friend were playing ascension last night on ps3 and our usual routine is one of us circles the first lander near the flopper and the other guards that small room where the flopper is, the one that is doing the circuits ideally has the ray gun and also the thunder gun, but last night we played three longish games and neither of us got the thunder gun while having the ray gun, we both spent in total around 150,000 but no go on the thunder gun have treyarch patched this combination because it can get you to a high number of rounds, or were we just unlucky. If it has been patched i think its a bit naughty as this could be classed as a technique and not a glitch or cheating. Has anyone else experienced this or is it just a one off or in our case a three off.

UPDATE:
Played on xbox last night with a friend and you can still get this weapon combo on there, so probably just unlucky on ps3.

Lol I'm not brill but using that technique we reached level 35, but very difficult without that damn thunder gun lol

You can still get to a highish round doing it that way playing solo, but you have no bragging rights because it doesn't record your score on solo lol.

yeah i got this combo last night on the xbox, Ascension is an awesome map, although hard.
We managed to get the packapunch machine last night for the first time. Starting to get to grips with what to do now so should be able to move on to the higher levels now. Loving it still wonder what will be next?

I agree mate definitly one of the best zombie maps i've played so far and their are alot of (possible) secrets to this map according to some info on other forums.

i never rated the thundergun before for some reason. played with my mate on tuesday and got the thundergun. decided to stick with it and upgraded it. it was a game changer. saved our arses so many times. eventually got killed round twentysomething as i got caught mid reload. (not being able to reload mid clip when its quiet is a major pain)

i never rated the thundergun before for some reason. played with my mate on tuesday and got the thundergun. decided to stick with it and upgraded it. it was a game changer. saved our arses so many times. eventually got killed round twentysomething as i got caught mid reload. (not being able to reload mid clip when its quiet is a major pain)

Most rounds the thunder gun doesn't come into use when i play, most often you can time your circuits so you can find a gap between the Zombies, and having that thunder gun last part of your circuit (just before the frags on the wall and after the stairs moving anti clockwise) just gives you so much confidence.

i always found myself "saving" my thundergun for emergencies and then never getting a chance to use it. i like to do what i call a "rape train" (choo choo!)

lander at PHD Flopper, get juggernog and it works a well. get an assload to follow you then blast the shite out of them with thundergun. maximises effectiveness and gets more "bang for your buck" per thundergun round.

I had never played Zombies until PSN went down, been playing it split screen with a mate. Starting to really get into it, got up to about round 20 or so now. Its the dogs we always have trouble on!

We have only been playing Kino though, once we are up in the high rounds on that we will try others.

I cant believe how good it is and I would never have bothered to play if it wasnt for the down time. Every cloud eh!
